christmas cards.

i thought i'd share some christmas cards i've "cased." this first one, however, is not "cased." Ü
this christmas stamp set is kind of old, i know, but i still like it. i used cherry cobbler, wild wasabi, early espresso, & crumb cake.

this card is my version of one i saw here.

and here is my version of this card. i forgot to add the bling before i took the picture...oops! Ü

and finally here is my version of this card. Ü

flower.

as promised, here are the instructions for the flower i used for the aug. page of my calendar.
first, punch out 2 scalloped circles. you can use more and you can use bigger ones too...just depends on how full or how big you'd like your flower to be. Ü

next, score all your scallop circles from petal to petal. i used the score buddy to do this & it made it so easy.
my friend Tami gave this to me & i love it!

then, you will cut between 2 petals, just to the center.

accordian fold all of your scallop circles.

adhere your scallop circles to make a flower. i used sticky strip so they'd stay better.

then i just put a chocolate brad in the center & attached it to my page.
buttons would be cute in the center, too!

2011 calendar class, part 1.

here are the different month layouts we did at my calendar class ~ each month has a spot(s) for your personal pictures. above is jan. the snowflake has glitter on it...hard to tell from the picture.

feb. ~ the heart has polka dots from the texture folder for the big shot.

march ~ love the little bling!

april.

may. the satin ribbon is soooo elegant & pretty!

june. i made my own version of designer paper with my own scraps. i love the piece that looks sorta like this in the "elegant soiree" pack but since it just comes with 2 sheets per pack & i needed more like 14 sheets, i decided to make my own version...

next post will show the rest of the months... Ü

candy cane christmas class & kits.

here are the 4 projects i will be doing for my next class.

here is a snowman ornament made with a recycled su! brad container. i'm going to fill it with candy. got this idea here.

here is another view of it...

this is a candy box (made with the matchbox die & big shot)  filled with wrapped hershey nuggets.

here is the step-card...

...and the hand sanitizer cover. originally saw this idea & changed it just a little. i love this project! Ü
can you see the little "bling" on the tree? hard to capture with a camera...

here is the side view where you can see the little hand sanitizer...so cute & easy!! Ü

i'm holding my class on friday, december 3rd & it's only $10!
i'm also selling kits for the candy box & the hand sanitizer cover~10/$10 (these do not include the sanitizer or the candy). i'm thinking these are going to make cheap, easy, & great christmas gifts for co-workers & neighbors! Ü
if you're interested in coming to the class or ordering some kits, e-mail me
carmichael18(at)hotmail(dot)com.
thanks so much!

mini album w/baseball card holders.

my friends tami & candace introduced these adorable albums to me. they use single baseball card holders for the pages (found at walmart & target). i used silly, miscellaneous photos for my album. don't tell my boys--they'd be so embarrassed to know these pictures are here for all to see! Ü

i also used the play date designer series paper and various ribbon scraps (some discontinued Ü)

test tube halloween.

LOVE these test tube projects--soooo cute!

i used the "batty for you" stamp set and the new white trimmed taffeta ribbon.

here is the pattern for the holder. i found it @ scribd.com. you start with an 11"x4" piece of cardstock. score on the long side at 1/2", 1 3/4", 4 1/4", & 5 1/2".
score on the each short side at 1 1/4". i used the 1" circle punch for the hole to hold the test tube.
there is sticky strip as pictured as well as on the other side of the little flap near the 1" hole to hold it all together.
enjoy! Ü

boo boxes.

i made these a few years ago after seeing them at stampin' up!'s convention. they're so fun (& cute!) to make. the chipboard letters were covered with white craft ink and then embossed with irridescent ice embossing powder...it's kind of hard to see the sparkle, but trust me, it's there. Ü

here is a close-up of the "decoration." i might have already posted these before, but here they are again. i think they're so cute!

fall garland.

i made this garland a few years ago after attending a regional seminar for stampin' up. so, the papers, colors, chipboard are long gone, but i thought i'd share it anyway. each letter is on a used cd that i no longer needed. on the back of each cd are the letters to spell out "noel," so you get 2 garlands in 1! Ü

here is a close-up of the whole word...

the crop-a-dile will punch right through the cd so you are able to put the jumbo eyelets through the cds as well.

thanks for stopping by! i will try harder to post more often than once a month--sorry! Ü
