disneyland.
this is an 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" album (retired from su!, now) of our trip to california in 2008. yes, i know how far behind i am...my family scrapbooks are even further behind. Ü anyway, some of the papers and stuff you'll see on these pages have retired, but i hope they'll inspire you a little nonetheless. the size of the pages is not all that large so i really had to pick & choose pictures. i think i'll use the leftover pictures for a title page and the ending page. i haven't finished those (or even started them for that matter), but when i do, i'll be sure to share. enjoy...Ü
the first day of our trip, we went to sea world. that was sooo much fun!
more of our day at sea world...
flamingos & flowers...they were sooo beautiful! Ü
the 2nd day of our trip, the 1st day at disneyland. everyone was so excited to see everything and ride ALL the rides. Ü
lego land...the store. we didn't take them to the amusement park, because just the store was heaven on earth for my boys! Ü
these are some pics of the end of our 1st day at disneyland. the bottom right picture is all the kids sacked out on the bed...except for tommy...he loves tv and is mesmerized by it. Ü
i plan on journaling about everything on the long rectangle area on the 2nd page.
on the morning of our 3rd day, we ate breakfast (really early Ü) at goofy's kitchen. tons of disney characters come and visit with you while you eat...well, the kids don't really eat much because they're so interested in all the characters. Ü
day 3 was spent at california adventure. tons of fun rides, but didn't have the "magical" feeling of disneyland. Ü
on day 4, we went back to disneyland & rode all the rides we loved. we also had to let the boys take on darth vader.
i think this layout may have too much "white." i've been thinking on what to add to tone it down a bit.
perhaps some designer paper, here & there, in a blue or grey.
day 5 was for universal studios.
i'm thinking that i will probably add more to this layout once i figure out what i feel it is missing.
maybe some sort of other small embellishment(s) that add a little more texture...
the last layout of the album...we went to an la dodgers game. super fun, but it was rained out.

as promised, here is the full project that was the make-n-take at my garage sale. super simple, but so cute! this card uses the new sizzix clearlits scallop rectangle die as well as the new level 1 hostess stamp set, because i care.
