i've been gone for a long time...
...and i'm sorry! with 2 boys in sports, a family to keep track of, keeping up with my stampin' up! business... and i am now taking some classes! could i add anything else to my plate? Ü oh, well-- i'm hoping to get back on track with this blog starting now. my goal is to post at least once a week--let's see if i can reach it. ok, so lets start with some christmas cards. i wanted to find an option for a photo card with stamping incorporated so i can still send "handmade" cards...here is one i came up with:

here's one that uses the snowflakes from the snow swirled stamp set. it does have 'season's greetings' on the bottom but you can hardly see it.
this card uses the holiday blitz stamp set. very simple....
love this one...again, simple but so cute. the middle of the poinsettias have a little dab o' glitter in them. i used the season of joy stamp set.

card make-overs.
i decided to take 2 of my recent cards and "make them over" for a swap i was doing. i wanted them to be more "embellished" so this is what i came up with. the first is the "before."
and this is the "after" of this card. i added the circles to the top of the card, the black card stock behind the gray--to help it pop a bit, and the piercing that leads to the greeting. it just "fancied" it up a bit. still just used the 'circle circus' stamp set as well as 'teeny tiny wishes' from stampin' up!
here is the "after." added curry card stock to the left side of the flower piece & behind small flower in lower corner. added a rhinestone brad, and the adorable polka-dot ribbon (love, love the ribbon!).
anyway, just a few little things to add more detail to the cards. oh! and this card uses the 'for all you do' set from stampin up! thanks for looking! Ü
