2011 calendar class, part 1.

here are the different month layouts we did at my calendar class ~ each month has a spot(s) for your personal pictures. above is jan. the snowflake has glitter on it...hard to tell from the picture.

feb. ~ the heart has polka dots from the texture folder for the big shot.

march ~ love the little bling!

april.

may. the satin ribbon is soooo elegant & pretty!

june. i made my own version of designer paper with my own scraps. i love the piece that looks sorta like this in the "elegant soiree" pack but since it just comes with 2 sheets per pack & i needed more like 14 sheets, i decided to make my own version...

next post will show the rest of the months... Ü

mini album w/baseball card holders.

my friends tami & candace introduced these adorable albums to me. they use single baseball card holders for the pages (found at walmart & target). i used silly, miscellaneous photos for my album. don't tell my boys--they'd be so embarrassed to know these pictures are here for all to see! Ü

i also used the play date designer series paper and various ribbon scraps (some discontinued Ü)
thanks for stopping by!

birds of a feather...

this is the scrapbook kit for the month. "birds of a feather flock together." i will set a date soon for this class, but you may order the kit if that is easier for you or you live out of the area. the cost is just $10! (add a few extra $$ if it needs to be shipped). this layout uses the new aviary stamp set and the paw prints designer series paper.

here is a better look at the 1st page of the layout...

...and here is the 2nd page. thanks for stopping by my blog today! Ü

disneyland.

this is an 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" album (retired from su!, now) of our trip to california in 2008. yes, i know how far behind i am...my family scrapbooks are even further behind. Ü anyway, some of the papers and stuff you'll see on these pages have retired, but i hope they'll inspire you a little nonetheless. the size of the pages is not all that large so i really had to pick & choose pictures. i think i'll use the leftover pictures for a title page and the ending page. i haven't finished those (or even started them for that matter), but when i do, i'll be sure to share. enjoy...Ü

the first day of our trip, we went to sea world. that was sooo much fun!

more of our day at sea world...
flamingos & flowers...they were sooo beautiful! Ü

the 2nd day of our trip, the 1st day at disneyland. everyone was so excited to see everything and ride ALL the rides. Ü

lego land...the store. we didn't take them to the amusement park, because just the store was heaven on earth for my boys! Ü

these are some pics of the end of our 1st day at disneyland. the bottom right picture is all the kids sacked out on the bed...except for tommy...he loves tv and is mesmerized by it. Ü
i plan on journaling about everything on the long rectangle area on the 2nd page.

on the morning of our 3rd day, we ate breakfast (really early Ü) at goofy's kitchen. tons of disney characters come and visit with you while you eat...well, the kids don't really eat much because they're so interested in all the characters. Ü

day 3 was spent at california adventure. tons of fun rides, but didn't have the "magical" feeling of disneyland. Ü

on day 4, we went back to disneyland & rode all the rides we loved. we also had to let the boys take on darth vader.
i think this layout may have too much "white." i've been thinking on what to add to tone it down a bit.
perhaps some designer paper, here & there, in a blue or grey.

day 5 was for universal studios.
i'm thinking that i will probably add more to this layout once i figure out what i feel it is missing.
maybe some sort of other small embellishment(s) that add a little more texture...

the last layout of the album...we went to an la dodgers game. super fun, but it was rained out.

heart mini album.

i will be having a class on this cute little album in march so i thought i'd better get mine made so i could show it off. Ü i decided to make this one for my boys and their cousins. i have so many random pictures of all of them, so this album works perfectly...
anyway, this is the front of the album. i love making these flowers that i found here. they are sooo easy & sooo cute!

i used the on board heart book available in stampin' up!'s® occasions mini catalog. i used the template from the hearts to trace more hearts onto card stock so i could make as many coordinating pages as i need (i will need more as time goes on, i'm sure Ü). and i covered the chipboard pieces with paper from the sweet pea designer series paper stack.

loads of love mini album.

here is a little mini album i made that has pics of my boys (years ago--@ least it seems like years Ü--before they really talked back w/attitude). the cover is 3 1/8" so the inside pages are 3"x3." super simple & fast!

here's the first page, when you open it...

then it just accordian folds out so you can add pictures to both sides of that vanilla card stock. i just used a 12"x12" piece of card stock--cut to 3"x12" and scored every 3".

and here is the other side of the vanilla card stock. Ü
