scrunchie flowers--april's stamp club project.

we made these cute flower clothespins for the stampers club project last week. i found directions on carrie rhoades' blog--but i can't seem to find the link so i'll show you how to make them...

first, cover your clothespin with paper of your choice. punch out 11 scallop circles and "scrunch" them up. it doesn't matter if they rip a little, just wrinkle 'em good.

next fold 10 scallop circles in 1/2...

...and then in 1/2, again to look like this. they do not have to line up exactly.

here's mine.

place a pop-up glue dot in the center of your scallop circle that you did not fold (i turned mine over...it is light blue in the previous picture & stripes in this picture). now, place 4 of your "triangles" on the glue dot, lining them up next to each other, points toward the center.

place another pop-up glue dot in the center of the layer you just completed and repeat, covering the "seams" of the first layer.

with the remaining 2 "triangles," you need to snip off the points.

they will look like this...

place another pop-up glue dot in the center of your last layer. attach the last 2 "point-less triangles" in the center. now, just "fluff" your petals, scrunch, etc. until you get your desired look. Ü

here is a top view of the flower on a clothespin.

you could use these as bag closures...

...or paper clips. you could also put a magnet on the back and hang it on a fridge or office magnetic board. Ü

may club project.

we made these cute little cello bags with this adorable flower last night for stamper's club! that flower almost looks like fabric...i love it! (thanks, lori, for showing me how to make these Ü)

first, start out with a stip of designer paper (12"x 1"). use the eyelet border punch all along one edge. then, run this piece through your crimper tool a couple of times (that will help it bend easier).

next, cut a circle with the sizzix die "circles #2" out of a sticky page. i used the 2nd to smallest circle (it is just a tad bigger than the 1 3/8" circle punch). take off the top layer to reveal the sticky part.

starting about 1/8" in from the edge, start laying down your paper in a circular fashion onto the sticky. coil it around to the center.

place your choice of brad in the center and voila! so easy and so cute!

stencil card.

i got this idea from my upline. you accomplish this with a decor stencil, ink, and sponge daubers. it is so pretty! this is card number 3 of 5 for my fancy schmancy card class.
